Herc Rentals is looking to add a Sr IT Business Analyst to support the Digital Platforms team. You will be responsible for understanding the changing technological needs of the business, testing functionality, and documenting results, supporting communication between relevant groups and stakeholders, and capturing requirements needed to initiate the change. • Identify any defects and/or potential quality issues per defined processes and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Be the liaison between teams working as an intermediary who helps support and translate needs across business units and functions.
• Partner with development and technical teams to ensure that they understand the specifications, conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the testing team.
• Drive investigations by validating and translating business requirements into functional requirements (what) and solutions (how) and contribute throughout the enhancement and new development process with analysis, solutions, user acceptance testing and training.
• Support new product offerings and digital transformation initiatives for customer facing functionality including leading edge technologies like IoT, Telematics, and native mobile applications
  Responsibilities
  • Create test plans, and execute the plan and following all activities to ensure all the objectives are met, and the solution works as expected.
  • Support key internal and customer facing applications
  • Assist in management of our external vendors
  • Assist the Telematics team with overall day-to-day projects including, producing meeting minutes, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved within time/cost/quality constraints.
  • Assess current capabilities and document and translate business requirements.
  • Manage/track multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and provide project status updates.
  • Participate in quality management reviews, to ensure designs, prototypes and other work products satisfy requirements
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
  • Provide analysis and metrics as necessary to monitor performance and success of current and future product implementations.
  • Assist Project Management with overall day-to-day management of multiple projects including maintaining accurate project plans, producing meeting minutes, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved within time/cost/quality constraints.
  • Ensure project documentation is up to date and accessible to others, as required.
  • Plan and manage internal and external project communications, make certain of effective exchange of project information, status, issues, risks, and deliverables.
    Professional Experience
    2 to 5 years of experience working in an IT environment with QA, application development, requirement gathering, and analysis of data Understanding and experience in IT functional analysis, business process, use cases, functional design/architecture and functional specification documentation Formal training in disciplines of Business Analysis and/or Project Management Educational Background
    Bachelor's Degree in MIS or related field Conditions of Employment

      Compensation Data:
