Job Title: Float Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Position Job Duration: 7 Week Contract Shift: To be determined Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of PCU experience required License: FL/Compact Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, & NIHSS Must-Have: Degree accreditation on profile or 5 years of experience Job Description: - Flexible Floating Required: Must be willing to float to sister campuses as needed - Patient Ratio: 4-6:1 depending on the patient mix - Required to wear Galaxy Blue scrubs - Work with Adult and Geriatric populations - Competence in using Epic EMR - Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the permanent address - Must load all demographic information upon submission including address, full date of birth, full social security number, and RN license number - High emphasis on cultural fit: Expected to function as core staff and be welcomed into the units - All requested time off or schedule requests must be submitted early; approvals are not granted post-submission - Ensure all required documents are submitted by the deadline with no exceptions Please note the hard deadline for document submission is the Monday prior to the start date.
